About the Church
Oakland Drive Christian Church (ODCC) is a Christ-centered congregation with over 60 years of history. While once thriving, we now face the challenge of an aging membership and limited engagement with younger generations. We are seeking an Associate Minister to help lead us into a season of spiritual renewal and outward focus.
Position Purpose
- To partner with the leaders of Oakland Drive Christian Church in advancing evangelism and disciple-making, with particular emphasis on the development of children’s, youth, and young family ministries, while sharing in preaching, teaching, and pastoral care responsibilities.
- To intentionally disciple and develop a minister with the clear expectation that, over time and through proven faithfulness, this individual will transition into the role of Senior Minister, as the Lord leads and the Elders and congregation affirm.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and support evangelism and community outreach
- Help develop and oversee children’s and youth ministries as they grow
- Teach and promote a clear, biblical understanding of the gospel
- Participate in preaching and teaching as assigned
- Engage in discipleship with individuals and small groups
- Provide pastoral care (visitation, counseling, support for families and youth)
- Assist with recruitment, training, and equipping volunteers and ministry leaders
- Assist with church communication, events, and ministry planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in ministry or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong commitment to biblical Christianity and the authority of Scripture
- Passion for evangelism and disciple-making Relational, approachable, and able to connect with all age groups
- Musical ability and/or technology and social media skills a plus

Accountability
Reports to the Elders of Oakland Drive Christian Church, with daily supervision by the Senior Minister.
