Walnut Street Church of Christ has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Minister who is motivated and energetic about leading our congregation to the next level. We have recently experienced a cultural shift that has brought down our median age. We have established a base of involved, young families, and are seeking someone to lead us in continued growth. Our leadership consists of a committed team of three elders and three deacons. While remaining true to our restoration movement doctrine, we are progressively minded in our methodology.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare/deliver sermons and studies
- Guide small group program
- Lead, oversee and direct ministry leaders, deacons, and volunteers under the oversight of the Elders
- Attend church events
- Drive evangelism
- Partner with Elders for pastoral care, visitations, and overall vision
- Evaluate ministry effectiveness and guide leadership in strategic planning
You may be a good fit for this position if you:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies;
- Exemplify Christian living
- Are temperate, self-controlled, hospitable, gentle, and have a good reputation; possess strong organizational skills
- Passionate about kingdom growth
- Connect well with youth
- Have experience in a growing church environment
- Consider yourself a “people person” and relate well with a blue-collar, fun-loving, welcoming, and supportive congregation
Required Skills:
- Confidence in speaking, extensive Bible knowledge, effective verbal and written communication, and success in relationship management
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office, social media, and website management
- Preaching experience preferred but not required for the right candidate with strong potential
