About West Village Christian Church: West Village Christian Church (WVCC) is an independent, non-denominational, Christ centered church committed to the authority of Scripture and the mission of sharing the Gospel. Located on the west side of Oak Ridge in Anderson County, our church has faithfully served the community for nearly 70 years.
East Tennessee continues to experience significant growth, and Oak Ridge is among the fastest-growing cities in the state. Following the passing of our beloved Senior Minister after a season of health challenges, our congregation is prayerfully seeking the next full-time minister who will help lead us courageously into a new season of ministry, discipleship, and community impact. We are currently served by a part-time interim pastor. WVCC is blessed with spacious facilities, beautiful grounds, and a debt-free campus.
Position Summary: The Senior Minister provides spiritual leadership, vision, pastoral care, and biblical teaching for the church family. We are seeking a Spirit-filled, passionate, and relational leader who will help guide and mentor our congregation toward deeper faith in Jesus Christ and greater love for others.

Professional Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Ordination within the Christian Church/Church of Christ tradition
- A strong commitment to the principles of the Restoration Movement
- A solid biblical and theological foundation with the ability to clearly communicate Scripture
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Compassion and wisdom in pastoral care and counseling •A teachable spirit and commitment to lifelong learning
- Proven ministry leadership experience (5+ years preferred)
- The ability to work collaboratively with elders, staff, and volunteers
Ministry Responsibilities
The Senior Minister will:
- Provide leadership, mentoring, shepherding, and pastoral care
- Work collaboratively with the eldership to develop church vision and goals
- Preach biblically grounded, engaging, and applicable sermons
- Partner with the worship team to cultivate meaningful worship experiences
- Officiate weddings and funerals and provide counseling as needed
- Visit hospitals, nursing homes, shut-ins, and church members
- Assist with welcoming and connecting visitors and new members
- Develop strategies for outreach, discipleship, and assimilation
- Support church committees, staff meetings, and leadership meetings
- Engage with the Oak Ridge community and local ministers
