This hybrid role requires a leader who can thrive in two environments: leading the Dalton Preschool campus team on Sundays and focusing independently during the week to create the curriculum and digital resources used by every Rock Bridge campus.
The Preschool Children's Minister leads all preschool ministry programming, volunteers, and environments to ensure they are Christ-centered, safe, developmentally appropriate, and effective in helping preschoolers begin to connect to Jesus. This role provides spiritual leadership, relational care, and operational excellence so that young children and their families experience a welcoming and engaging pathway toward life in Christ.
Because our Dalton campus serves a diverse, multi-lingual community, we are specifically seeking a leader who is bilingual in Spanish and English to ensure every family feels known, heard, and cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all preschool ministry environments (Check-In, large group, small group, and childcare for events).
- Implement Christ-centered, biblically-driven curriculum that fosters discipleship and spiritual growth for preschoolers.
- Ensure policies and procedures are implemented to provide safety, security, and volunteer preparedness.
- Enlist, equip, empower, and encourage (E4) preschool volunteers through ongoing coaching, training, and care.
- Build relationships with preschool families and volunteers.
- Conduct weekly walkthroughs of preschool environments to ensure quality, safety, and readiness.
- Communicate consistently with preschool volunteers, leaders, and families to maintain alignment and vision.
Key Behavioral Areas:
- Host 1-2 volunteer huddles annually for prayer, encouragement, training, and vision casting.
- Meet 1-3 times per month one-on-one with preschool volunteers and leaders for enlistment, encouragement, and equipping.
- Hold weekly pre-service meetings for prayer, encouragement, and communication of key updates.
- Perform weekly walkthroughs of preschool environments for safety, excellence, and preparedness.
- Meet every 4-8 weeks with each direct report (coaches or ministry staff) for
- Feedback, alignment, and coaching.
- Ensure each direct report has a written growth plan and receives consistent encouragement and accountability.
- Prioritize personal development and ministry excellence through participation in staff meetings, chapels, and training opportunities.
- Pray regularly for Rock Bridge, RBKids, the leaders and families.
Central Support:
- Create and meet deadlines for weekly curriculum distribution.
- Collaborate with Children's Ministers and Children's MCD in selecting and distributing family discipleship resources.
- Offer topical resources and tools to help parents thrive as the primary disciplers of their kids' faith.
- Enlist and develop Serve Team Members to assist in the production of weekly curriculum, as needed.
- Attend and participate in children's ministry team meetings and huddles as scheduled.
- Adhere to spending limits in alignment with the budget set for central ministry.
