Job Description‍:

The Director of Student Connections and Experience is responsible for planning and executing programming for the 6th-12th grade ministry alongside the Associate Pastor of Students.

Planning:

  • Have a meaningful voice in shaping the strategy and long-term vision of Student Ministry, contributing ideas, insight, and leadership that help define where we are headed.
  • Help turn vision into action by collaborating on clear, practical plans that move Student Ministry forward and make the strategy tangible week to week.

Programming:

  • Use your voice and presence to shape student experiences by holding a regular spot in the teaching and hosting rotation for both junior high and high school ministry.
  • Help design meaningful, well-run environments by playing a leading role in service planning and event coordination across all Student Ministry programming.
  • Own the execution of key events and retreats, serving as the project manager who brings teams together and ensures every detail is thoughtfully handled—from registration and facilities to transportation and team leadership.

Administration:

  • Support meaningful ministry through strong systems, managing Student Ministry databases in a way that facilitates better care for students.
  • Partner with our Communications team to create clear, compelling promotion for Student Ministry programming, helping students and families stay informed and engaged.

Shepherding & Development:

  • Help build and shape a thriving volunteer community by recruiting, equipping, and encouraging leaders who are passionate about investing in students.
  • Invest deeply in volunteers and students through intentional leadership, encouragement, and care.
  • Play a key role in helping students feel known and connected by following up with our welcome and retention processes.
  • Be a steady, supportive presence during Student Ministries programming, remaining available to volunteers or students who need assistance or care.

Qualifications:

  • Committed follower of Jesus with a heart for supporting Student Ministry
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Relational warmth and ability to encourage others
  • Proven skills with digital tools (Community Church Builder, Microsoft Suite, basic forms)
  • Competent and experienced in public speaking settings
  • Experience working in youth ministry, project management, or event planning is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and disciple young women preferred

Schedule:

  • Sunday (8 am-12 pm, 4:30-8:30 pm)
  • Monday-Thursday

Compensation:

  • $43,000-$48,000/year
