Welcome to The Church in Athens, a small congregation in Athens, Ohio, seeking a Spirit-led minister to assist our congregation with discipleship and outreach. We value the things that God holds to be important, especially making disciples, and are looking for a leader with a heart for people and a passion for proclaiming the Gospel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preach informative, engaging sermons that are based on the sound doctrine of the Scriptures.
- Help provide compassionate care, counseling, and spiritual guidance to members.
- Assist in leading worship services, collaborating with worship team.
- Foster community engagement and outreach.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in pastoral ministry, preaching, and leadership.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine love for people and a commitment to spiritual growth.
Compensation & Benefits:
Open to negotiation; but includes a parsonage as part of the compensation package.
