Overview

Eugene Christian Church is seeking a Youth Minister (Full-time, Part-time, or Intern) to help serve our children, youth, and families while gaining real ministry experience and completing Christian Service Hours (Internship). This role offers hands-on opportunities to serve, teach, and lead in a local church setting, while also allowing flexibility for school commitments if needed. Housing is available through church hosts and pay is negotiable depending on time commitment, experience, and availability.

Responsibilities

• Youth & Children’s Ministry
  

• Schedule, support/train, and organize teams for Sunday children’s programs.
  

• Lead the Sunday Teen’s Church (30-45 mins).
  

• Lead and/or co-lead Thursday Night Open Gym (6–8 pm), including a 5–10 minute devotional/discussion.
  

• Coordinate youth involvement in the 4th Quarter Rally (5th Sunday) through sunday service participation or special youth/family events throughout the year.
  

• School & Community Ministry
  

• Participate in Cole R-V School lunch visits twice a month (both high school & elementary) in a chaplain-like presence.
  

• Help plan outreach events that involve the community throughout the year.
  

• Seasonal & Special Events
  

• Assist with church camp season (June) as needed.
  

• Organize & Lead VBS during summer (4 days).

Expectations

• Serve Thursday & Sunday most weeks (housing provided if needed). (Discuss Office Hours)
  

• Grow in their relationship with God, model Christlike character, and encourage youth in their walk with Jesus.
  

• Work collaboratively with church leaders and volunteers.
  

• Be flexible and dependable, balancing church service with academic responsibilities (internship).

Time Commitment & Compensation

[Final Pay & Hours are Based on Discussions of Availability & Experience]

Example:

• Internship Track (approx. 10 hrs/week): ex: $300/week (meets Christian Service requirements).
  

• Part-Time Track (expanded role, ~15–20 hrs/week): ex: $500/week.
  

• Full-Time Track (~40 hrs/week): open to discussion

*Intern Note: We encourage students to confirm if Friday classes have an online option so the intern can be in Eugene Thursday night through Sunday.
