The Glouster Church of Christ, in Glouster Ohio is looking for a senior minister. We are a small congregation of 60-80 in Southeast Ohio. We have 3 elders that are active, and willing to work alongside the minister. We are an older church and looking for someone that looks at their ministry as a calling rather than a job. Christ told us that “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” in Luke 10, and that seems as evident today as it was then. We believe that America itself is in as much need to hear the gospel as the many third world countries we support worldwide. Here in our little town, the main attraction is the school, and it is a poor area.
The duties of said minister will include:
- Going out into the community to make yourself known.
- Calling on those who need called on, hospital visits, unhappy attenders etc.
- Preaching on Sunday morning and leading at least one bible study after you are established.
- Helping the youth minister with programs, etc.
The salary package will include a housing allowance rather than a parsonage.
