Western Hills Christian Church is prayerfully seeking a senior pastor called by God to lead our congregation in a new season of growth and effective ministry. WHCC is a multi-generational church of believers with approximately 125 members.
Job description for Senior Pastor of Western Hills Christian Church: The senior pastor will be a godly man that knows the word of God and lives by it. This person will be doctrinally sound, someone who listens to and works well with people. He should have a vision for the church and must articulate it clearly and effectively. As an Elder lead church, he will work in unison with the elders, shepherding, preaching and teaching the Bible and leading the congregation in the worship and the will of God.
Duties and Responsibilities for Senior Pastor of Western Hills Christian Church:
Shepherding: He will be available and accessible to every member of the congregation. The senior pastor will demonstrate personal integrity, accountability and trustworthiness. He will be ready to counsel, instruct and biblically guide all individuals who seek his help. He will seek the council of Elders in situations that may require such actions.
Preaching and Teaching: Pursues the salvation of the lost through the convicting power of the gospel of Christ. Teach, edify, train and nurture the congregation toward spiritual maturity. Work with the elders to maintain doctrinal accuracy of all education, instruction, worship and evangelism efforts.
Administration: Oversees weekly Sunday worship services, as well as any other special worship events. Observes regular office hours daily within guidelines agreed by the elders. Leads church staff personnel, perform other duties as directed by the elders.

Job Qualifications:
- A seminary graduate is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pastoral leadership role preferred
- Meets the spiritual characteristics found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
- Has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ with a commitment to spiritual health and maturity
- Has a passion for the church, evangelism, discipleship, and missions.
- Loves preaching and teaching the gospel
