In our town in the Amazon rainforest, it takes a large team working together to help kids and their families to break the cycles of poverty and despair. We have missionaries, teachers, basketball coaches, administrators, pastors, and coordinators providing life-changing skills while building relationships and discipling those around them to see broken relationships restored.

As we are just a month or two into the new program year, we have identified four missionary roles that need to be filled as soon as possible. Each of these roles is a crucial space in which you can make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families.

Nanny Tutor in Student Resident Home

  • Develop and strengthen English skills for girls who come from the deep jungle and live in the on-campus residence home.
  • Help provide a safe, nurturing, and loving home environment that encourages personal growth.
  • Having experience or training with at-risk children and/or trauma is preferred.
  • Minimum two school-year commitment (August to July).

English Teachers

  • Inspire middle and high school students by teaching them English as a second language, providing them with valuable skills that open doors to new opportunities.
  • Promote a classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and language proficiency in English.
  • Proof of degree or a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
  • 2.5-year commitment.

Digital Marketing Coordinator

  • Build awareness for JKC's mission through its social media and email marketing platforms.
  • Be the ministry's primary content collector and creator.
  • Associate's degree or higher in marketing, social media, or other business/digital marketing majors
  • Minimum one-year commitment, but two or more is preferred.

Short-term Teams Coordinator

  • Facilitate positive team experiences that encourage the growth of the children being served and the team participants.
  • Plan and organize the team's schedule, which includes team programming, transportation, lodging, food, and other necessary arrangements.
  • Strong organization and communication skills are required.
  • Minimum two-year commitment.

Do you feel a connection with one of these roles? If so, we encourage you to take the next step and submit a simple application. This will let us know that you are interested and allow us to learn more about each other.
