A growing, healthy church in Erie, Kansas, is seeking a servant-hearted minister to step into leadership as the current minister, Wayne Shaw, transitions back into retirement. This is an excellent first call right after graduation. The church is stable, relational, and honors its ministers. The handoff will be wise and paced, protecting the flock and setting the next minister up to thrive.
What You Will Do
- Preach and teach the Word with clarity and conviction
- Shepherd members through presence, prayer, hospital visits, funerals, and counseling within your training
- Equip volunteers and develop lay leaders for sustainable ministry
- Partner with elders and ministry teams for strategy, discipleship, and community outreach
- Provide administrative stability, weekly planning, and effective communication
- Honor the church’s heritage while guiding next-step growth
