Overview
We are a New Testament Independent Christian church seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastor to lead our congregation with integrity and faith. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep commitment to Christian values, providing spiritual guidance and support to our community.
This role involves preaching, teaching, counseling, and engaging in various church activities to foster a nurturing environment for all members.
Duties:
- Deliver engaging sermons that inspire and educate the congregation on biblical teachings.
- Provide Christian counseling to individuals and families in need, offering support during times of crisis or personal challenges.
- Lead and/or coordinate Junior High and High School youth groups once per week.
- Facilitate educational programs for all age groups, promoting spiritual growth and understanding of Christian principles.
- Manage conflicts within the church community with sensitivity and care, ensuring a harmonious environment.
- Offer hospice care support to families facing end-of-life situations, providing comfort and guidance during difficult times.
- Communicate effectively with church members through various channels, fostering open dialogue and community involvement.
- Collaborate with church leadership to plan events, outreach programs, and community service initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in pastoral ministry or related field is preferred.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to present messages clearly and effectively.
- Excellent writing skills for creating sermons, newsletters, and educational materials.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team building within the church community.
- Experience in conflict management and crisis management is essential.
- Knowledge of Christian counseling practices is highly desirable.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others grow spiritually and emotionally.
- Ability to engage with diverse groups within the congregation while promoting inclusivity.
