Youth Minister

The Youth Minister position is a full-time position which reports to the Administrative Minister.

This position is responsible for the leadership, organization, and direction of the Pomona Youth Ministry. This includes weekly operations, strategic planning, administration, and ministry management .

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

Pomona Youth:

• Identify, invite, train, and empower leaders to be a part of the Pomona Youth ministry.
• Serve as a primary student leader and communicator for the church.
• During the week invest in the lives of students building relationships with them in the most effective way possible.
•  Oversee Pomona Youth Sunday and Mid-Week services.
• Act as the primary organizer of student Small Groups for Middle and High School students .
• Meet with key volunteers on a regular basis to evaluate Pomona Youth.
• Organize and lead Pomona Youth activities, service projects, mission trips, youth retreats, and all other Pomona Youth events.
• Oversee the 6th through I2th Grade Sunday School Program, scheduling teachers and providing curriculum.

Pomona Christian Church is in south central Missouri in between 3 small towns. Willow Springs is to the north, Mountain View to the east and West Plains to the South. We draw members from all three communities. We've had steady growth for over 30 years but recently we have grown more rapidly with the finishing of a new building renovation and addition in 2019. We have very healthy children's and youth ministry and have made families a focus for the church's outreach. We currently average a little below 700 on a Sunday but feel as though we are on the precipice of another attendance jump.
