Statement of Intent:
Lakeside Christian Church is a 58-year-old community of believers with rich ties to the Northern Kentucky region. We are a multi-generational congregation who places a high emphasis on belonging in community and growing in our faith so as to have a tangible impact on the world around us. We are looking for a servant-leader with a passion for local church ministry who desires to raise up disciples collaboratively.
Objective/Summary:
The Creative Pastor will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing and directing the Worship Ministry and our online platforms, including the website and social media. This will include leading a staff team currently comprising two members (Technical Director and Creative Director). The Creative Pastor will be a fully collaborative member of Lakeside’s programming and planning process. This requires a great deal of humility, trust, and teamwork as Lakeside’s Pastoral staff and others work together to plan all the elements for Sunday morninggatherings. While leading the worship ministry, the staff and volunteers are the first pillar of this role; the second and equally important pillar is to work alongside our team to engage and disciple our church.
Essential Functions:
As a member of our team, they will work closely with other staff to help serve, lead, and disciple our congregation. This means that they will play a key role in helping with hospital visits, weddings, and funerals, covering our prayer spaces, and our discipleship process. The heart of the Creative Pastor should be geared toward helping our congregation belong and grow in their faith.
The Creative Pastor will be entrusted with overseeing and directing the worship volunteer team, including any contracted worship leaders. This involves scheduling and equipping volunteers, leading rehearsals when needed, and preparing the auditorium for all weekend service needs.
The Creative Pastor will also be responsible for overseeing our outward-facing platforms, including the website and social media. They will work closely with the rest of our communication team to ensure that our people have easy access to all information about our ministries and events.

Required Education, Experience, and Membership:
- Full Membership within Lakeside Christian Church (including alignment with Lakeside’s values and beliefs)
- A Bachelor’s degree in a pastoral field (or comparable experience in that field)
- Confident musician and singer

- Experience building and leading volunteer teams
- Experience overseeing and managing staff
- Experience utilizing Planning Center Online
- Experience with audio, video, and lighting equipment
- Organizational and communication skills
