Position Overview
The Associate Pastor will serve under the direct oversight of the Lead Pastor and play a vital role in the spiritual and operational leadership of the church. This individual will provide direct pastoral oversight for the Youth Ministry and Young Adult Ministry, as well as indirect oversight of the Children’s Ministry by supervising the Children’s Ministry Directors. They will also be the main support for outreach efforts and event planning throughout the year alongside the rest of the staff.
Key Responsibilities
1. Youth Ministry
- Provide spiritual leadership, guidance, and oversight to the Youth Ministry, including weekly gatherings on Sunday mornings and Midweek, discipleship, and outreach activities.
- Build strong relationships with students and their families to foster growth in their faith.
- Recruit, train, and equip youth ministry volunteers and leaders.
2. Young Adult Ministry
- Develop and lead a vibrant Young Adult Ministry, creating opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth, and community impact.
- Plan and facilitate regular gatherings, events, and community impact with the young adults.
3. Children's Ministry
- Provide support to the Children’s Ministry Directors, ensuring alignment with the church’s vision and values.
- Collaborate with the Children’s Ministry Directors to ensure a safe, engaging, and biblically sound environment for children.
4. Outreach and Event Planning
- Partner with the Lead Pastor and ministry leaders to organize outreach initiatives that connect the church with the local community.
- Assist in planning and executing church-wide events, including community outreach events and special programs.
5. General Pastoral Duties
- Preach and teach as needed, supporting the Lead Pastor in delivering biblically sound and impactful messages.
- Participate in pastoral care.
- Engage actively in the life of the church, modeling a Christ-centered lifestyle and fostering relationships within the congregation.

- Commitment to growing in your own personal faith and discipling others.
- A self-starter with strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others and work under the direction of the Lead Pastor and the oversight of the elders.
- A heart for outreach and a passion for reaching the lost.
- Ability to lead with vision, creativity, and innovation.
- Love those you serve and have a driving passion to see that they know, trust, and follow Jesus.
- Help contribute toward a dynamic ministry environment.
- Connect, relate and build strong relationships with all ages to teach, shepherd, and disciple.
- Communicate effectively with NCC Staff, Volunteers, and Parents.
- Alignment with the church’s doctrinal beliefs and mission.
Compensation Package
Parsonage provided (Valued annually at $30,000).
$43,000-45,000 base salary.
$4,800 annual business expense allowance.
Total Compensation: $77,800-79,800.
