PURPOSE:
The Technical Director is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of worship services, special events, and facility operations. This role combines leadership, creativity, and technical expertise to ensure seamless integration of audio, visual, and lighting technologies that enhance the worship experience and support the church's mission.

ROLE SPECIFICS:
1. Technical Leadership and Vision
- Provide leadership for all AVL technologies across the church facility
- Develop and implement strategic plans for technological growth and advancement
- Ensure technology is implemented effectively throughout the building
- Collaborate with worship and preaching teams for service planning and execution
2. Team Development and Management
- Recruit, train, and lead volunteer technical teams
- Schedule and oversee tech volunteers for worship services and events
- Provide spiritual leadership and care for technical team members
- Foster an environment where creativity and excellence can thrive
3. Worship Service and Event Support
- Oversee technical aspects of weekend worship services and special events
- Operate as the technical point person, ensuring all elements are in place
- Run "Front of House" (FOH) or other positions when necessary
- Provide technical support for various church events (weddings, funerals, etc.)
4. Audio Systems Management
- Oversee audio system operation and maintenance
- Ensure high-quality sound for both in-house and live broadcast experiences
- Proficiency in audio equipment management, including mixing consoles, microphones, amplifiers, software, etc.
5. Visual and Lighting Design
- Manage visual elements including screens, projectors, and presentation software
- Create and implement lighting designs for services and events
- Assist worship dept. in planning and executing stage designs for the main auditorium
- Assist video director with video production and live streaming operations
6. Equipment and Facility Management
- Assist video director with video production and live streaming operations
- Maintain inventory and oversee maintenance of all AVL equipment
- Assist with facility-wide technology integration and network equipment
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Strong faith in Jesus Christ and alignment with the church's vision and core values
- Familiarity with audio mixing, lighting systems, and presentation software (e.g. ProPresenter)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings
