Senior Minister

First Church of Christ in Sault Sainte Marie, MI is seeking a full time senior minister, who will help lead us in our desire to connect people with Christ and one another.

First Christian Church is associated with the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. First Church of Christ averages about 85 in our weekly Sunday services. Sault Sainte Marie, a city of about 13,000 people is located just off of I-75 in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, and sits on the border of Canada and our twin city - Sault Sainte Marie Ontario (population over 70,000).

Here is a description of the minister we are seeking to serve our church:

• A godly man who loves God and is passionate about his faith.
• A minister who will grow to love the people of this church and treat us like family.
• A preacher who loves the Word of God and seeks to organize sermon series that will present the Scripture in practical ways that build us up and help us grow.
• An effective leader who is aware of our needs, equips us to serve, and helps us to seize our opportunities.
• An administrator or (senior minister) who is able to work effectively with elders, volunteers, and staff.
• A biblical education related Bachelor Degree from a Restoration Movement affiliated college is preferred.
