CAMP MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY:  Independent Christian Church Association WCCSC is to glorify God in all things by providing Biblical education, worship, fellowship, and avenues of service for today's youth.

Communications Liaison:  The West Central Christian Service Camp Manager is a liaison to the Board of Directors, member Church(s), Deans, and rental clients. The Manager communicates and promotes within the member Churches the Camp’s vital need for funding and support to meet its mission and purpose.

JOB DUTIES:

Staff and Dean Recruiting:
The West Central Christian Service Camp has a vital mission to make the camper or renters experience with camp a ‘fun and friendly experience’. It must be safe, pleasurable, and promotes a desire to return. This experience is also inclusive of the camp staffing. It requires the Manager to be accommodating, gentle, and have a supportive attitude. The Manager should be a proven analytical person, creative, experienced, and motivated for immediate action.

Registration Contact:
The West Central Christian Service Camp has a vital need to increase its importance as a mission tool to promoting Christ. This requires the Camp Manager to have experience with Church(s) and their operational needs. The Manager must develop good relationships with Church(s), their Missions committees, and Children and Youth Ministry. The Manager must communicate the Camp’s registration process, camper requirements, and actively provide registration progress.

Building and Grounds Maintenance:
The Manager has been tasked to perform simple to moderate maintenance tasks. This mechanical skill is desired; but may not be required of the Manager for every task. The Manager must direct these activities. Maintenance activities have strict timelines. The activity is driven by a schedule to extend the life of the equipment and facilities. The timeline and the occasional breakdowns require an ‘action oriented’ Manager.

Inventory Readiness:
The Manager sets action schedules and maintains vigilance in tracking the Camp’s assets, various material goods, food quality, and funding needs. This requires the Manager to be a strong communicator using various methods to communicate with our Board Members, Member Church(s), suppliers, banking, and our contracted accountants.

Building and Support Programs:
The Manager from time to time may initiate improvements, building projects, and large scope maintenance activities. Although many of these are contracted to outside organizations and have their own contracted schedules, the Manager will be required to enforce logistics, provide coordination with camp operations
