Chaplin Christian Church, a Restoration Movement congregation, is in search of a part-time, associate minister interested in ministry, outreach, and growth. This position offers the potential to grow into a full-time ministry role with mentorship and guidance from the senior minister.
Who We Are
Founded in 1869 by followers of Alexander Campbell and Barton W. Stone, Chaplin Christian Church has stood as a bastion of the faith in rural Nelson County, Kentucky for over one hundred fifty years. Our congregation is a tightly-knit flock bound together by traditional values and a focus on the family unit. Song services feature instrumentation and a selection of songs from both hymnals and contemporary sources. Sermons delivered from the pulpit at Chaplin Christian Church are expected to honor and propagate the Restoration Movement beliefs and principles that we were founded on. In our services, Chaplin Christian neither practices nor endorses charismatic rituals, such as speaking in tongues, “falling in the Spirit,” or passing snakes.
We are led by a supportive, established board of elders and deacons with decades of church leadership experience. The board is governed by a set of bylaws, with all positions put to an annual vote.
