Student Minister

Mission Statement:

• The Jamestown Christian Church Student Minister seeks to love God, love others, and make disciples and strives to teach youth to do the same. 

Qualifications:

• Must be a Christian. 
• Continually striving to grow in their faith.
• Love the Lord and His people (especially youth). 
• Preferred bachelor degree from a Christian Bible college. 
• Preferred experience in youth ministry. 
• Ability to teach, organize, administrate, lead, and work well with others. 

Reports to:

• Senior Minister
• Eldership body

Job Responsibilities: 

• Ultimately responsible fort the student ministry program (6th-12th grade). 
• Organize weekly learning opportunities. 
• Recruit, train, and organize volunteers within ministry. 
• Responsible for ministry budget. 
• Develop a good relationship with the youth in the community through being visible, attending functions in which the youth are engaged. 
• Be available for summer youth camps, week long activities, retreats, etc...
• Responsible for service/mission projects on a regular basis. 
• Work with parents and guardians of youth to enhance student ministry. 
• Lead in a team ministry structure. 
• Plan and coordinate activities and programs outside the church to create opportunities of fellowship and growth. 
• General pastoral care as needed for youth and their families. 
• Other duties as assigned by senior minister and/or leadership.
