WHO SHOULD APPLY
This position does not require experience working in vocational ministry. In fact, we hire skilled and talented people from a variety of professional fields. We are seeking creative, energetic, godly, servants with a high capacity for ministry in a local church.
PURPOSE
We aim to see the lives of our children (infant through fifth grade) changed by Jesus through well trained volunteers who accurately handle God’s Word in age-appropriate methods.
The Children’s Ministry leader will provide point of contact of leadership, recruitment, and training for volunteers within the Children’s Ministry Department.
The Children’s Ministry leader will partner with parents and families to build impactful methods of growth for children and the Children’s Ministry Department.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITY
- Lead children into a life-changing relationship with Jesus.
- Equip and train leaders who invest in life-changing relationships with children.
- Plan and execute effective ministry opportunities.
- Develop a culture of active partnership with parents.
- Establish and nurture relationships with leaders in local schools, maintaining a strong and positive presence.
- Work closely with Student Ministry Leaders (Sixth through Twelfth Grade) for critical continuity.
- Build a culture where children become hungry to know Jesus and to know God’s Word.
- Occasional responsibilities shared among all staff positions such as weddings, funerals, and other pastoral duties.
