Forum Christian Church, a non-denominational church located in Columbia, MO, is prayerfully seeking to hire an Associate Worship Minister.
PURPOSE
Work within Forum's Worship Ministry department, providing leadership to help individuals refocus their worship toward God during weekend gatherings. This role will also assist the worship department in innovating new ways to connect people with worshipful spiritual habits throughout the week. Responsibilities include leading, assisting, and planning in-person gatherings, investing in the health and development of a robust volunteer base, and fostering ongoing innovation to help individuals connect with Jesus. Additionally, this position will collaborate closely with our Next Gen worship teams to train and equip the next generation of worship leaders. The Associate Worship Minister will also assist in facilitating special events, such as weddings, funerals, and both internal and external worship gatherings, providing technical support and ministry assistance based on the specific needs of each event.

ROLE SPECIFICS
Worship Leadership (Weekend Gathering)
- Curate and lead weekly gatherings in collaboration with the worship department that help people refocus their worship toward God.
- Participate in series and set planning meetings.
- Engaging in and contributing to our series and set planning meeting/planning structure.
- Lead rehearsals and resource volunteers so they are sufficiently prepared for rehearsals.
- Assist with environmental setup, including stage design and technical details, ensuring readiness for gatherings.
Volunteer Management
- Recruit, train, and develop a large (50+) volunteer base in alignment with Forum's volunteer management system.
- Manage weekly volunteer scheduling (using Planning Center Online).
- Invest in the spiritual, leadership, and role-specific skill development of volunteers.
- Develop and implement a system that guides new team members through structured training and development, ultimately placing them in leadership roles aligned with their strengths, maturity, and readiness.
Staff Collaboration
- Support the Worship Department by ensuring effective communication across ministry teams. Closely follow our leadership structure (CYLCE, GRACE, AAR).
- Adhere to the established leadership structure (CYCLE, GRACE, AAR).
- Attend weekly staff meetings, worship department meetings, and special project teams as needed.
- Follow staff scheduling and communication protocols closely.
Next Gen Worship
- Develop a system for training, equipping, and inspiring the next generation to lead worship.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate excellent worship gatherings for youth, including set planning with ministry leaders (Forum Kids, Forum Students, etc.), environmental setup, and recruiting, training, and mentoring students to lead worship elements for all ages.Set planning alongside the various ministry leaders (forum kids, forum students, etc.), environment setting, recruiting/training/mentoring students to help lead the worship elements for all ages in their weekly gatherings.
Special Events Assistance
