Children's Pastor

• Lead children and their families to follow Jesus.
• Lead a volunteer-driven showcase event on Sunday mornings.
• Recruit, train, organize and empower volunteers to provide leadership within the children’s ministry.
• Consistently deliver outstanding environments so children are engaged and educated to become fully surrendered followers of Jesus Christ.
• Create systems necessary to attain consistent, measurable results beneficial to the mission and vision of FCC. Systems include, but may not be limited to:
  • Volunteer
  • Leadership
  • Communication
  • Child Safety
  • Weekend Services
  • Guest follow up
• Communicate weekly, and meet regularly with Children’s Ministry Leaders in order to build ownership and to equip them to lead other volunteers.
• Oversee select special events focused on children.
• Oversee communication between the church, children and families.
• Provide parenting resources for families as needed.
• Oversee curriculum selection for children, nursery through 5th grades.
• Oversee the setup and operation of all related children’s ministry environments on Sunday morning, including check-in, individual children’s environments, security, check out, setup and tear down.
• Oversee the Children’s Ministry budget.
• Participate in staff meetings and other meetings as scheduled.

Personal Responsibilities

1. Maintain God ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first, your spouse (if applicable) second, your children third, and the ministry fourth.
2. Give at least 10% of your income to the vision of 1st Christian Church.
3. Be loyal to the vision and staff of 1st Christian Church and always protect the unity of the church.
4. Model implementation of our mission to make more and better followers of Jesus.
