We are a church filled with many growing young families! The Worship & Family Minister is responsible for providing spiritual leadership and oversight to our worship and family ministries.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Worship & Family Minister is responsible for providing spiritual leadership and oversight to the worship and youth ministries of the Church of Christ at Grissom. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

LEADERSHIP 

  1. Lead others to follow Christ by example.
  2. Prays and works to lead the congregation in fulfilling our mission and vision.
  3. Is a good team player, working in collaboration with the CCG leadership team.
  4. When available, assists with other ministry needs (funerals, counseling, weddings, etc.).

WORSHIP

  1. Plan, organize, and lead the weekly worship services.
  2. Recruit, train, and lead a worship team. (This would include rehearsals for the weekly worship services. Scheduling worship team members. Etc.)
  3. Coordinate all media (PowerPoint, videos, etc.) for the worship service.
  4. Provide oversight and guidance for AV equipment.
  5. Regularly communicate with church leaders and volunteers about the worship ministry.
  6. Participate in staff meetings, planning meetings.
  7. Fulfills other worship ministry tasks as needed.

FAMILY

  1. Encourage parents to be the spiritual leaders of their home by training, equipping, and resourcing them to develop a biblical worldview in their children.
  2. Recruit, train, and lead a team of adult and student volunteers.
  3. Coordinate all youth ministry activities.
  4. Work in collaboration with the Children’s Ministry to provide a family friendly approach to the ministry.
  5. Regularly communicate with volunteers and families about the youth ministry.
  6. Participate in staff meetings, planning meetings.
  7. Fulfills other youth ministry tasks as needed.
