One Sentence Job Description:
To make followers of Jesus by leading a compelling pre-school ministry strategy that attracts and trains leaders who engage and help children discover God (disciple) while partnering (fostering community) with parents.
Qualifications:
1. Pursuing a growing relationship with Jesus, and is a baptized follower of Jesus.
2. Passion for the vision and mission of First Christian Church.
3. A desire to lead and grow in the area of leadership.
4. Be known as kind, approachable, and empathetic.
5. Possess the leadership gifts necessary to make a collaborative vision happen through planning, team leadership, execution, and evaluation.
6. Agreement with the FCC Statement of Beliefs, and Staff Handbook.
7. Submit and pass a background check.
Responsibilities:
1. Directing: Implement and continuously innovate a strategy and structure for a safe, effective and compelling pre-school ministry for children (birth-5 yrs) and their families. effective and compelling pre-school ministry for children (birth-5 yrs) and their families.
2. Team Leadership: Effectively identify, inspire, train, and empower high level ministry leadership to trusted passionate leaders over key areas.
3. Volunteer Culture: Relentlessly pursue creating the best volunteer experience for all teams: Host Teams, Large Group Teams, Room Leaders, and Logistics Teams.
4. Volunteer Staffing: Create the ideal volunteer roles, overseeing the recruiting and training needed to implement our ministry strategy to families and kids.
5. Program Leadership: Ensure a system in which all resources like curriculum, supplies, and environments are prepared and implemented with excellence and ease.
6. Events: Create and collaborate on seasonal events whether large or small that will be a part of implementing our ministry strategy.
7. Partner With Parents: Effectively inform, connect, support and incorporate a pathway for parents to be the most important spiritual influence in their child’s life.
8. Team Player: Collaborate with staff on church-wide projects, and others as assigned by Lead or Executive Minister.

Hours/Compensation: PT (20hr/wk)
