Teaching/Preaching Pastor

General Description:

• Oversees preaching and teaching at SHCC.
• In coordination with ministerial staff, determine preaching schedule.
• Provides leadership for vision/mission/direction of SHCC among staff and congregation in collaboration with the elders and ministerial staff.
• Provides pastoral care in cooperation with elders and the Care Team*.
• Leads in strategies for discipleship, including classes and Life Groups, coordinating with the Grow Team*.
• Assists in acquiring professional counseling for members with individual or family needs, leading and coordinating with the Care Team*.
• Helps manage first impressions and outreach, leading and coordinating with the Connect Team*.
• Performs weddings and funerals, as needed by members.
