Purpose:
The Church of Christ - Cleveland is a church family
that loves Jesus. We are a fundamental Bible believing non-denominational
congregation of the Restoration Movement heritage. We have been established in
this area for over 150 years. We are seeking a pastor to serve and lead us in
proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our church family includes people from
the city of Cleveland, as well as several other neighboring communities.
Cleveland is surrounded by agriculture and lakes, while still being close to
larger cities which provide colleges, shopping, and entertainment. The City of
Cleveland is an attractive and safe place to raise a family with a friendly
atmosphere that supports a wonderful K-12 school.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver
dynamic and relevant biblical preaching and teaching of God’s Word and prayer
- Create
an exciting and inviting atmosphere that encourages spiritual growth in Christ
- Provide
spiritual and pastoral care (i.e., visitation ministry and/or counseling)
- Perform
baptisms, funerals, and weddings
- Collaborate
with elders to implement the vision of the church
- Equip
and train believers in team leadership and ministry
- Engage
in community activities
- Oversee
paid staff and volunteers
- Maintain
confidentiality in all matters of pastoral care and leadership
Qualifications:
- Bible
college (education) and/or seminary training
- Previous
ministry experience
- Personal
growing relationship with God
- Strong
verbal and communication skills
- Effective
use of worship, communication and administrative office technology
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience
with small and large groups
- Maintain
confidentiality in all matters of pastoral care
- Passion
for prayer, encouraging spiritual growth, and outreach into the community

for families
Compensation: Negotiable package including base salary,
